Claymore - Rafaela and Jean (new project)

Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another Blog while we are discovering new things in 2020. And nothing like a good Blog to entertain you.

After the previous Blog I wrote of the new projects I started of new Claymore characters on Blender (Claymore - Galatea and Rafaela (new project)), I decided to make Rafaela - the previous Number 5 of Clare's era and Number 2 of her time and her sister Luciela. With her spaulders ready, all what I need to do is adjust it to fit in her shoulders and make a small change on her head.

Let me show you the renders:



Nice. What I did is: Since the head model has the Mirror modifier applied, I extruded the edges of her left socket and created a new face with F button (the 'pay respect' button as most gamers would say) once I have the ideal spot. The scar itself has be made on the new texture since its UV Mapping required a re-mapping. The eye, eyebrows, lashes and eyelids has the Mirror modifier applied, with only the right side of her face to be preserved and the left side to be removed.

The only things to do now are: hair to cover her bald head; buckles; vambrances; chausses and sabatons.

Before I conclude this Blog, I started a new project on Blender - still related to Claymore. The character of the turn is the former Number 9 and Clare's most loyal companion and friend: Jean. (gosh, I'm still sad for her demise from the last episode.) Let's not go into that detail. Okay?

Looking good so far. I reused Irene's hairstyle to make Jean's hair. I had it in mind after I concluded the Quicksword warrior's hairstyle before moving to the other characters. Other thing is: The head remains the same for Irene, Teresa and Rafaela; with only the ears taken from Priscilla's project and the exclusion of the eyebrows. Both in the manga and the anime portrays Jean with no eyebrows, despite few artists added it in their artworks.

 I plan to add her armor pieces, although it will take some time to make her sword carrier.

In the future, I plan to make the others and my OC’s, but such work will requires time and patience because I have been the only person interested in Claymore to make all the hard, painful work. There are some moments my brother can give me some help. Well, I hope you like what I did for Rafaela and Jean. I plan to share more artworks and other things I did in my time. New Updates for: Macchi C.202 and Macchi C.205 (new project) - October 11, 2021

Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another Blog. We are now on October 11 - approaching the end of 2021; hoping for the things to get better as the World continues in this fight for survival and to develop a (possible) cure for the COVID-19 pandemic. For this month, my university semester is in course - in which my attention will have to be re-directed to the new tasks, in addition to my service at the public health center. Civil service exam and new updates for: Spitfire, IAR 80, F4U, Yak-1 and new projects - December 7th, 2023

Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another blog in 2023. We are now on December 7th - approaching the end of 2023. Now that I'm working and my 7th semester is near conclusion, my time for Blogs decreased to some occasions. At least it is good to be back at work. I performed the civil service exams on December 3rd. One for the bookkeeper / clerk vacancy and one for community health agent. The preliminary results arrived on Monday (December 4th) in order to have some idea of my score after the two exams. Sadly, I didn't passed on the exam for the bookkeeper / clerk - with my score around 42 points and I needed 50. But on the other hand, for the community health agent, I managed to score 83 points, which is great. Now I need to wait for the official results. I guess the classification will come after the exam scheduled on December 17. Also, I have to perform the attendant / receptionist exam on December 10.
