New Updates for: P-51D and B-17 - July 7th, 2020

Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another Blog. We are now on July 7th - the other half of 2020 and hoping for the things to get better as the World continues in this fight for survival and to develop a (possible) cure for the COVID-19 pandemic.

Probably in this week I'll slow down my activities on Blender due to another season of studies for another civil service exam - just for not getting too much rusty with basic knowledge with mathematics, Portuguese (my native language though I only use it more often on TonyLiteraryWorks) and specific knowledge.

For today, I'll be showing new renders of the P-51D Mustang and B-17G Flying Fortress.

P-51D Mustang:

What changed on the P-51 Mustang were the radiator exhaustion outlet from where the hot air is expelled from the radiator; and the letters were adjusted on the UV Mapping editor. Pretty small changes I did in this project since the Mustang looks complete. What I need to do to complete it for real is a small cut on the elevator, the bullet shells outlet on the wings and conclude the texture for the instrument panel.

Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress:

The B-17 received a considerable amount of changes from these days. I included some pistons for its Wright R-1820-97 "Cyclone" radial engines and some adjustments on its elevator and ball turret.

After these adjustments, the B-17 received a considerable amount of components. That includes the wheels for the landing gears, the Pitot tube, two aerial attachments from the tail rudder to the antenna and left side of the wing, a small adjustment on the fuselage's nose and applying the mirror for the roundel on the main structure and two lateral M2 Browning machine guns. In some photos, the Browning MGs are not totally aligned, same goes for the roundels.

When I showed these renders to my grandpa and my brother, they claimed the aircraft is floating and I kinda started the 'house by its roof instead of its ground and walls'. (lol) But then, I plan to make the framing for the landing gear; same goes for the open window for the gunners, the bomb bay doors, the engine turbochargers, ailerons, flaps, open space for the engine landing gears and a rework on the cabin (which I still owe to myself).

While I was working on these aircraft, I always keep wondering if I plan to start a new project related to WW2 aircraft after the Spitfire and B-17. Probably I'll pick up the Focke-Wulf FW 190, P-47D Thunderbolt, Mitsubishi A6M Zero or Messerschmitt Me 262. Who knows? That subject will be answered for the future.

Well, that's it for now my friends. I hope you enjoy this Blog. I'll be back with more in this year. I plan to share more artworks and other things I did in my time. Until the time comes, you will be surprised to see it. See you next time.
