New updates for: P-38 Lightning - 09/28/2019
Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another blog of my Blender projects. For this one, I'll be showing you new renders of Lockheed P-38 Lightning.
Initially, I saved the original with a different name for testing - just like I did for the wings texturing test. I still have that file and the original one on the computer my brother and I use for Blender projects.
Back to what I was saying. In this file, I added the textures for the spinners and the fuselage. In the main component, I added some shark teeth and a bluish gray spray around the lower section of the aircraft. For the spinner, I kept the red temporary texture, with a slight modification after the UV mapping. Both the red and the yellow textures has a black line to represent the casted steel plates. Meanwhile, I made a minor adjustment on the turbocharger intake.
And, after that update, I decided to make something similar to the nacelles.
I included the U.S Air Force Roundel on the side of the nacelle and the same bluish gray painting on the lower section; plus the red/yellow portion from where the spinner is attached. I took three attempts with UV mapping on the nacelle due to the seams adjustments and it was a bit of pain by rotating and scaling the roundel.
This is one of my attempts for texturing the P-38 Lightning. I have plans of making other texture packs - with the Brazilian Air Force version as one of them. If everything works well, I believe it will be ready in no time.
Probably in the future - after we finish the P-38 project, I plan to make the other aerial fighters from World War 2 - like the Messerschmitt BF 109 E-4 variant, Focke-Wulf FW 190 D9 'Long-Nose Dora', Messerschmitt ME 262, P-51 Mustang D variant, Supermarine Spitfire Mk V and Mk IX, Mitsubishi A6M Zero, Yakovlev Yak-9 and some others. With these fighters along the P-38, this is going to be one of the greatest parties ever done.
I hope you like it. I plan to share more artworks and other things I did in my time with the P-38 project, which I added more things in the current stage. Until the time comes, you will be surprised to see it. See you next time.
