2022 Retrospective and New Updates for: He 111H and Panzer I - December 28, 2022

Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another Blog.

The year is close to the end. Before we move on to the next year, let's write another Blog of 2022; hoping for the things to get better. My job contract at the public health center is coming closer to its end on December 31, 2022. Yet, December 31 is a Saturday, so I will work until December 30 since the weekends and holidays weren't included in my timesheet. Still, I guess I'll have to go after another civil service exam while I wait for the call for the selection process for attendant. On the one hand, they are calling a considerable number of classified candidates for the attendant vacancy. That means I still have some chance to be called to work at the public health center once again. But I have to wait. In the meantime, I'll be studying for an upcoming civil service exam that is scheduled for January 15, 2023.

Unfortunately, the transition from November to December was marked by the closure of my routine activities on DeviantArt. In case you are not aware, DeviantArt integrated a 3rd-party AI image generator that allows anyone to create any image from several images that is available on the website's servers. For the artists who work for a long time didn't enjoyed the new feature and some of them protested - stating the new feature violates the owners' copyright and the exploits some people and companies that relies on AI over artists that generated controversies. For that, I decided it was time to leave DA for good. However, ArtStation and some other websites are also embracing it - causing protests among the artists who share their artworks there.

Question: Will I leave ArtStation the same as DA?
No. But I don't upload too much content there like I used to on DA before I purged my entire gallery. Well, not all artworks like the pages for a Claymore fanfic community. I decided to keep them. Doing that is like ripping a page out of a book. I guess I shall keep with my Facebook page, Instagram, Twitter (I'm not uploading new content there too much like I used to) and Blogspot.

I also considered WordPress in case I would share my work aside from these places. But it will be for another time.

And as always, new Nightwave intermission chapter is on and some of the challenges are locked due to my current stage - especially those that involves the Zariman. I must play the New War to unlock the Angels of Zariman in order to unlock these challenges.

Disregarding Warframe and the recent news related to AI images, let's go to the important thing here in this Blog. As usual when it comes to concluding this year, I will be writing a retrospective of 2022, sharing the projects I started this year.

The P-40N Warhawk in its colors. I made a nice gray coating on its underside along the smoke coming out from the engine outlets and the guns.

The P-47D-25-RE Thunderbolt with Brazilian markings - and carrying its payload in bombs. So far it's looking good. I need to conclude this project, but I need to revisit IL-2 Sturmovik for more references.

The B-17G Flying Fortress. I decided to change the colors for the wing tips and tail elevator to honor Texas Raiders after its crash during the CAF airshow at Dallas, Texas.

The Avro Lancaster Mk III - the new aircraft I started for a new timelapse video series on YouTube. I plan to resume the series after my job.

The Hawker Hurricane Mk I - also started on this year. It's looking good in this current stage.

The Messerschmitt Bf 110 C-7 - the German heavy fighter. I also started it in this year in order to make some recreation of the Battle of Britain.

The Mitsubishi A6M2 'Zero' model 21. Although I started this Japanese fighter on 2021, I finally concluded it with a nice texture. I plan to make its green texture for the A6M3 and A6M4 models.

The Ilyushin IL-2 Sturmovik. Also, receiving a nice texturing in this year.

The Lavochkin La-5 and La-5FN - two new projects I started simultaneously. I plan to work on its landing gear and other components.

The Junkers Ju 87 Stuka - my first 3D model made on Blender receiving its first printed model. I printed the Stuka for a cousin of mine who asked me a 3D print of the German dive bomber, and asked me in the original colors from the Hans Ulrich-Rudel's Stuka plane. It took a while to prepare the model from Blender to be printable and I had some setbacks. After that, I finally concluded it and sold it to him. I plan to make my own Stuka, although I have no idea what painting: the 1941 version, the Afrika Korps or the Soviet winter.

The Panzer IV ausf F2 (G). I started the Panzer IV in the middle of this year. So far, it's looking handsome.

The Tiger I also received some adjustments from 2021 to this year.

Clare from Claymore. Although I made her using Priscilla's model on Blender 2.8, I decided to try making a human character again. This time, I used Priscilla's body, armor pieces and sword with a new human head model. The results were interesting.

Then Flora and Anne were my other attempts. They look good despite having the same armor pieces and body texture.

The Springfield M1903 Rifle - American's Mauser rifle made in USA from the Spanish-American War to WW2 and Vietnam War. Yeah, I keep the habit of making firearms on Blender. I made it after saving the Kar98K in a new file, with few adjustments to make the American bolt-action rifle.

The Soviet Tula Tokarev TT-33. I also started it in this year by saving a separate file from the Colt M1911 pistol. So basically, this TT-33 is an American M1911 being remodeled to be a Soviet pistol.

The MG 42 and the MG 34. Although I started these two German machine guns on 2021, I made some adjustments in this year.

The Browning M1919A1 light machine gun. Also receiving a revisit in this year. So far it's looking good.

The M1A1 Bazooka. Despite I was working on this anti-tank weapon in 2021, I only rendered its images in this year. I plan to include its rockets.

And before concluding this Blog, I'll share the latest images of the Heinkel He 111 H-1 and the Panzer I Ausf A.

Heinkel He 111 H model (H-1 / H-3 / H-6):

The He 111 received a small rework on the smoke on the wings and some minor adjustments on the propeller spinner like the new fitting space for the blades. Another change was the Kampfgeschwader decal. It used the KG 2 'Holzhammer' (mallet / wooden hammer), but I changed to the KG 4 'General Wever' emblem.

For a while, I appended the Armature from the IL-2 Sturmovik to the Heinkel He 111 project - with few changes to fit in the German bomber. I'll rig it in the future, but I also plan to add its interior.

Panzer I Ausf A:

The Panzer I received a new blackout light - appended from the Kübelwagen project. I noticed some German tank were also equipped with that device, especially the Panzer I, the Panzer III and Panzer IV. In addition, I made some small changes on the rear wheel by adjusting the bar linked to the wheel, the antenna resting device remade, the gun mantlet remade and adding another Mirror modifier to the steel links.

New components added were some bolts on the turret, the Maybach engine access hatches and the fuel port hatches. I guess I can conclude this Panzer I in no time, yet I require several references to this German light tank. The tracks and the chassis also require a rework.

Now, what I plan to do for the next year? Focus on the current projects in order to conclude some things and correct some issues at some models. I plan to make new projects, but the major idea is to focus on the existing projects and conclude some things before moving to a new project.

Well, that's it for this year, my friends. Good Holidays and Happy New Year. I hope the things start to get better for the next year or be less terrible than the last years, especially the difficult years because of the COVID-19 pandemic. I hope everyone is alright and stay safe. I'll be back with a new Blog in January 2023. See you next time.
