New updates for: B-17G, A6M 'Zero' and Hurricane Mk I - November 27, 2022
Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another blog in 2022. We are now on November 27 - approaching the end of 2022; hoping for the things to get better. Now that I'm working and studying, my time for Blogs decreased to some occasions and some weekends.
For this month and for December, I will focus my attention on my university semester and the new weekly tasks and my job (which are quite stressful but I'm used to. Haha. After that, I think I'll take a break from university and public exams as soon as I settle down for good). I'm not sure what will happen after December 31 - if the mayor, the administrative director and my employer can extend my contract at the public health center further or it will officially end. At least I can rest after that and find other thing to do for a living.
Alright. With nothing else to add, let's go for the Blog. For today, I'm going to bring new images of the Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress, Mitsubishi A6M2 'Zero' Model 21 and the Hawker Hurricane Mk I.
Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress:
After revisiting the B-17 for the Texas Raiders tribute, I made some adjustments on the Ball Turret. I made the front section of the turret based in some photos I found on the Internet just to get an idea for remaking it.
In addition, I made some adjustment on the wings in order to reduce the thickness of the forward section of it. Then I made the flaps with a small piece copied from the wings and more metal links for the retractable landing gear. This detail will be talked for another Blog.
For the next components, the Ball Turret and the Top Turret will receive a full rework before moving to rigging this American bomber and adding a nice texture.
Mitsubishi A6M2 Model 21:
The Japanese A6M 'Zero' had some minor changes. Like for example: I made the headrest along a small adjustment on the pilot seat, the canopy framing and the color for the gunsight. Aside from these changes, the plane remains the same.
I plan to prepare its UV Mapping unless I would add anything else like decals and extra elements for its structure. I also plan to preserve the cannons for the A6M4 and A6M5 versions, with some minor changes in case I'd save in different files like I did for the Spitfire with the Mk I and IX and the Bf 109 E, F, G, T and Z models.
Hawker Hurricane Mk I:
The Hurricane received its new ailerons by an extracted piece from the wings, new decals for the letters - appended from the Spitfire project; new lamps for the landing lights and some beams for the radiator located on the belly's intake. So far it's looking good.
The next components are the spacing on the wings for the landing gear and fairings, the flaps, some final adjustments on the Hurricane, a nice texture and rigging it.
I planned on including the Avro Lancaster, but I decided to leave it for a future Blog once I record a new video before uploading the third timelapse video for its series on my YouTube channel. Yet, in case you want to see it, go visit my Facebook page and my Instagram by the links at the end of this Blog.
Well, that's it for now my friends. I hope you enjoy this Blog. In case I have some spare time to enjoy, I'll be working on other things aside from Blender projects and my personal things. Until the time comes, you will be surprised to see them. See you next time.
