New updates for: FW 190A-8 and concluding the Ki-61-I - September 14, 2024

Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another Blog in 2024. We are now on September 14 - past the half of 2024.

I know. I've been absent without writing anything new here. Job, studies, playing video-games, watching some YouTube videos, listening to some musics and doing my chores at some moments decreased my spare-time dedicated to Blogs.

I'm now working on the new role as health community agent and now, my colleagues and I are visiting the families as part of our job to improve the health quality in our community and town. Things are looking good and we're enjoying in our new role.

The 8th semester is finished. Another thing I won't be bothered with. After the second university, I'll give a break for good.

And, again, new Nightwave chapter has been released, with new cosmetics, new mods, new Warframe slot, new weapons slots, rewards from the previous chapters and more. Damn. This never ends and I'm waiting for 1999 to be released (only in winter I guess). Man, I feel exhausted, but let's go.

For this Blog. I'm going to share you the new rendered images of the Focke-Wulf FW 190 A-8 and the Kawasaki Ki-61-I 'Hien'.

Focke-Wulf FW 190 A-8:

Alright, here are the renders of the German Würger (shrike or butcher bird) plane. It has been a while since I last visited this aircraft. I'm also working on the D-9 model, but I'll upload the images for another Blog.

The FW 190 received a rework on its main texture and the Bump texture. The fuselage and some of the flight control components (mainly the elevator and the ailerons) are showing some nice lines for the metal sheets spacing.

At first, I was planning of making the Bump texture for the Stuka, but I decided to focus on the FW 190 as my next German fighter to conclude. There's also the Bf 110 and the Me 262 as my other candidates, but the jet fighter requires a minor adjustment on the wings. The idea is to make the automatic slats and some minor components. The heavy fighter needs to be rigged with an Armature for the animation sequences. For that, I'm going to the FW 190.

Back to its development, I remade the canopy hatch. While I was looking at it, I noticed a gap resulted from the Subdivision Surface. To correct it, I had to rearrange the mesh.

Regardless of the Bump texture in the previous versions, the hatch looks a little bit smoother while comparing these images. The downside is rearranging the UV Mapping and the lines for the metal spacing. Still, the results were favorable.

Another painful situation I faced is the lines for the tail horizontal connector. Since I followed the schematics I found in Wikipedia, the downside is not always the front view is properly aligned with the profile view. Honestly the author of the image didn't had a good measure for different angles and proportions. That's why some people prefer to search the blueprints in other websites.

The next thing to do is concluding the Bump texture for the fuselage and the wings. Before I start the wings, I need to make a small component for the landing gear fairings and I hope I don't have lots of trouble for rearranging the UV. In addition, the trailing edge remains a bit thick, which I need to thin it and adjust the ailerons. Also, I'll add the rivets, the Metal and Specular textures for the FW 190.

Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien:

The Ki-61-I received more adjustments on the Bump, Metal and Specular textures after my last Blog (Concluding the IAR 80 and new updates for: B-17G and Ki-61-I - August 29, 2024). The 244th Sentai emblem has been adjusted, especially the stars.

After the last corrections on the main texture, this Japanese air fighter is now ready and is now available in my Sketchfab. I'll leave the link for you to visit it:

Well, that's it for now my friends. I hope you like this Blog. Let us hope this year bring us new content and something different from the usual. In case I have some spare time to enjoy, I'll be working on other things aside from Blender projects and my personal things. Until the time comes, you will be surprised to see them. See you next time.
