Overtime, new updates for: Spitfire and concluding the Hurricane Mk I - April 27, 2024
Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another Blog in 2024.
I know. I've been absent without writing anything new here. I got some extra days of work at the public health center. For one thing is good, but I'm getting worn out by the passing days without a regular time to rest. Still, while I'm waiting to be called to work as a health community agent, I'll have these overtime shifts to increase my income. At least this month is coming closer to an end and May will come soon.
My 8th semester is still ongoing. I'm finishing some things related to my graduation, then I'll give a break for good after my second university.
Nightwave intermission chapter is complete, but I heard DE are preparing the next Nora Mix for May 15th (oh God nooooo!!!!). I guess they are out of ideas for new Warframe mini-stories, with news for the 1999 and a another side quest.
Enough of that, let's go to the important thing in this Blog.
After my last Blog (Overtime and plans of concluding my projects - April 14, 2024), telling my plans of concluding my current projects, I decided to render some new images of the Spitfire Mk I. I'm working on both Mk I and Mk IX, along the P-51D-15 Mustang and the A6M2 'Zero'. The last two planes received the Bump texture map, but they are in development to be shared here. Instead, I'll share the images of the Spitfire Mk I.
Looks good with the dirty aspect for the spacing lines. I made some adjustments on the texture for the main texture and the smoke coming out from the guns muzzles and engine exhaustion outlets. The landing gear and the wings were also modified.
I'll make some refinements on the materials by adding the Metal and Specular textures for the plane's flight control systems, flaps and main structure. In addition, I'll add the Bump texture for the decals. I may change the Fin Flash from object to texture. As the guns shell ports, I'll do the same like I did for the Hurricane and P-47. The idea behind for the ports is to add a simple object without Subdivision in order to guide me while the model is being developed or to assist me in case I'd continue my Unity projects. In the future I may stop to rely on it for too long.
Another thing to do is adjusting the Bones for the flaps.
To conclude this Blog, there's one last thing to show you. The Hawker Hurricane Mk I.
The second British fighter I started is now ready. I concluded the Bump texture and added the Metal and Specular textures for the metal and fabric surface. Although the painting can dazzle metallic brightness, I decided to leave a small portion of it. The roundels and decals received a nice texture and Bump mapping. At least this Hurricane is ready, unless I plan to add more things to the model.
The model is available at my Sketchfab. I'll leave the link for you to visit it:
Well, that's it for now my friends. I hope you like this Blog. Let us hope this year bring us new content and something different from the usual. In case I have some spare time to enjoy, I'll be working on other things aside from Blender projects and my personal things. Until the time comes, you will be surprised to see them. See you next time.
