New updates for: Hurricane Mk I and Panzer I - February 28, 2023

Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another Blog here to start 2023. I know I've been absent for a while without a new Blog. I'm waiting for the results from the exam I performed on January 15, which is taking some time to be announced. Now that the job contract at the public health center has ended, I'm going to have all the time to study, do my personal things like Blender, Unity, literary works and finding a new job in the meantime. Yet, the town hall from where I live is calling more candidates qualified from the selective process to work at the health center. There's a chance they will call me to work at that place one more time. Who knows? Also, I'm waiting to be called to work as a teacher by the Government's selective process I assigned for a while. Both are great in case I'd receive some payment for my services and skills.

University is now in course, yet I won't have the same weight compared to the previous semesters where I had two virtual exams, four activities before the recorded classrooms, four activities after the classrooms to fix my knowledge, a forum where I share two different answers, four web learning materials, four recorded classrooms and one in-person exam (for those who are online, you perform it on the computer while your activity is monitored under no circumstance of changing the browser tab or the exam would be invalidated by attempted any forms of cheating). Instead I'm going to have two virtual exams, four web learning materials, four recorded classrooms and one in-person exam. I'm not sure there will be any interdisciplinary activities. Let's hope not.

With Nightwave intermission chapter at max level (level 30 to be precise), I don't have to waste my hours to perform more boring challenges. As I concluded the New War and the Angels of Zariman, the blocked challenges are now available in case I'd play with my brother on Zariman.

Disregarding Warframe, let's go to the important thing here in this Blog. For today, I'm going to show the new renders of the Hawker Hurricane Mk I and the Panzer I Ausf. A.

Hawker Hurricane Mk I:

Amazing results. I remade the wings middle section in order to fit the fairings. In addition, I made its texture based on the Hurricane UPW and appended the Armature from the FW 190 to speed up the development.

However there are some things I found out while trying the bones for the landing gear. Based in some photos, the middle section of the fairings is not aligning as it should be. Instead, I used the old model before the rework of the wings for the land pose while in the flying mode I used the new model.

It's looking good, but there are some things I need to fix on the fairings and the Bones for the flaps as well. Another thing I found out on the original Hurricane was the foot stair located at the right side of the plane. I'll include it after that.

One thing before moving to the German Panzer I section for this Blog, I had a different idea for the aileron Bones. What I thought was changing its alignment and rotation role. The reason for that was: when I rotated the Bone, one side of the aileron was higher than the other. Even if I'd change the Bone roll on the Edit Mode, the results would be the same.

So, instead of using the alignment like I used for the propeller, rudder and elevator, I decided to use a different way I learned from a video I watched a while ago. I would use the Cursor at the center of the two vertices from one side of the aileron, then with the Shift and S command, I'll move the select Bone point to where the Cursor was set. Same thing for the tip of the Bone: Set the Cursor to the center of two vertices from the other side of the aileron, then move the tip to the Cursors' new location.

The results were interesting.

The Hurricane is the first aircraft I tested this new idea I had. I did the same for the A6M Zero, Ilyushin IL-2, Focke-Wulf FW 190 and the Stuka. I'll share it for you by YouTube as I plan to adjust the Bones for the BF 109's wheels after a comment I saw about that topic.

Panzer I Ausf. A:

The Panzer I received a rework on its tracks and minor changes on the engine exhaustion outlet and wheels. I changed the materials for these components. Also, I made more hatches on the turrets and more pieces for the suspension system. Fortunately some people posted their Panzer I on Sketchfab and 3DExport, which will help me a lot in case I need other thing aside from photos at every angle.

Here's a small comparison to its tracks.

New model

Based on the Panzer IV's tracks, I reuse it and remade some things in order to get the original design. Some minor changes were made after these renders, more like the rotation and the wheels. The new model has the Subdivision Surface - which would make the project a little bit heavier to load smoothly. After some things are complete, I'll apply that modifier after having its texture ready.

Another thing I added was that strange tool. For what it looked like, it's some sort of hand crank. I'm not sure what exactly was that aside of a hand crank. I know that old vehicles needed a crank to start its engines. Even WW1 and WW2 tanks.

Well, that's it for now my friends. I hope you enjoy this Blog. In case I have some spare time to enjoy, I'll be working on other things aside from Blender projects and my personal things. Until the time comes, you will be surprised to see them. See you next time.
