New year and new updates for: La-5 / La-5FN and Panzer IV - January 6th, 2023
Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another Blog here to start 2023. I know I've been absent for a while without a new Blog. I've been studying for an upcoming civil service exam - scheduled for January 15, 2023. Now that the job contract at the public health center has ended, I'm going to have all the time to study, do my personal things like Blender, Unity, literary works and finding a new job in the meantime. Yet, the town hall from where I live is calling more candidates qualified from the selective process to work at the health center. There's a chance they will call me to work at that place one more time. Who knows? Also, I'm waiting to be called to work as a teacher by the Government's selective process I assigned for a while. Both are great in case I'd receive some payment for my services and skills.
And as always, new Nightwave intermission chapter is on and some of the challenges are locked due to my current stage - especially those that involves the Zariman. I must play the New War to unlock the Angels of Zariman in order to unlock these challenges.
Disregarding Warframe, let's go to the important thing here in this Blog. For today, I'm going to show the new renders of the Soviet Lavochkin La-5 and La-5FN and the German Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf F2(G) on its current stage of development.
Lavochkin La-5FN:
Lavochkin La-5:
The Lavochkin La-5 and the La-5FN received their landing gear fairings and engine exhaustion flaps. The minor differences are: the La-5 has an extra component for the escape of exhaust gases whereas on the La-5FN it was removed. The nose from the La-5FN's fuselage has been painted in red in order to make it different from its first model.
The landing gear were appended from the Macchi C.202 and the A6M 'Zero' project in order to speed up the development - with minor changes since it used an inner fairing (some planes had fairing to protect the wheels aside the ones to protect the limbs). I may reuse it for the La-7. In addition, I made a small adjustment on the engine exhaustion section, I added a Pitot tube and the fairings for the tail landing gear.
The next components are the tail landing gear, the cockpit components, the navigation lights, the flaps, ailerons and slats. I'm not sure I'll include the slats for the German Messerschmitt Bf 109, the Me 262 and the Bf 110 since these planes count with automatic slats to increase its maneuverability in combat. Then, I'll rig this Soviet plane and paint it. The La-5 will retain its green color with some dark-green or black painting segments on its upper wings and fuselage. I'll paint the La-5FN's upper wings and fuselage with gray and dark-gray colors while the underside will be painted in blue and some areas in red. After that, I may start the Lavochkin La-7: the modern version of the La-5FN.
Panzer IV Ausf. F2(G):
The Panzer IV received a new wooden box, an ax, an antenna resting place, a blackout light and a rework on the commander's cupola. The ax and the blackout light were appended from the Panzer I (with the last component appended from the Kübelwagen to the Panzer I project). So far, it's looking good.
Other components to include are the antenna, the hatches' locking pins, the working tools like shovels and cutting barbed wires, a rework on the chassis, a good painting and rigging the tank. In case I would make its later versions, I'll include the Schürzen spaced armor around the turret and chassis, the smoke canisters and a Zimmerit coating texture. For the variants, the only changes are the turret's replacement for a fixed steel plating and a gun for the respective roles (big cannons for StuG / Jagdpanzer / Nashorn / Hummel; Flak for Flakpanzer; and mortar for Sturmpanzer).
Well, that's it for now my friends. I hope you enjoy this Blog. In case I have some spare time to enjoy, I'll be working on other things aside from Blender projects and my personal things. Until the time comes, you will be surprised to see them. See you next time.
