New updates for: Heinkel He 111 - October 15, 2022

Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another blog in 2022. We are now on October 15  - approaching the end of 2022; hoping for the things to get better. Now that I'm working and studying, my time for Blogs decreased to some occasions and some weekends.

For this month and for the next ones, I will focus my attention on my university semester and the new weekly tasks and my job (which are quite stressful but I'm used to. Haha. After that, I think I'll take a break from university and public exams as soon as I settle down for good). I'm not sure what will happen after December 31 - if the mayor, the administrative director and my employer can extend my contract at the public health center further or it will officially end. At least I can rest after that and find other thing to do for a living.

Alright. With nothing else to add, let's go for the Blog. For today, I'm going to bring new images of the Heinkel He 111.

Heinkel He 111 H model (H-1 / H-3 / H-6):

The He 111 received new cockpit access hatches and windows on the right side of the fuselage. In addition, I added a glass panel next to the gondola. These were the trickiest things I had to make with few subdivisions in order to spare the plane from a lot of gaps. Still, it's looking good.

After that, I made the bomb bay doors from a piece of the wings mesh. And again, it gave me some trouble to adjust its vertices and avoid adding too much subdivisions. Also, I started painting the fuselage. I used the same technique I used for the Ilyushin IL-2 Sturmovik: painting in separate images instead of painting in one image. I used Gimp to merge all layers to make one texture image.

The wings and the engine housing were the next components to receive a proper texture.

Looking good, huh? I gave the Junkers Jumo 211F-2 engine exhaustion outlets a rusty appearance, which is an interesting thing like I did once for the P-38 Lightning's Allison engine turbocharger.

The Heinkel He 111 is almost complete, only the gondola, the other metal frames surrounding its greenhouse canopy requiring a nice texture, the engine soot on the wings and engine housing, some wearing markings, a nice Kampfgeschwader (bomber wing) emblem and rigging the plane. I may include some hard points for the heavy bombs, naval torpedoes or drop tanks in place of bomb bay doors.

Well, that's it for now my friends. I hope you enjoy this Blog. In case I have some spare time to enjoy, I'll be working on other things aside from Blender projects and my personal things. Until the time comes, you will be surprised to see them. See you next time.
