New updates for: Avro Lancaster B Mk III and A6M 'Zero' - March 26, 2022

Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another blog here of 2022. I know I've been absent for a while without a new Blog. Now that I'm working and studying, my time for Blogs decreased to some occasions and some weekends. I'm not sure what the future holds after my work at the public health center ends in August of this year. But one thing is certain: Until they call me effectively, I need to dedicate a good part of my time to the next civil service exams.

For this month, I've been studying for an upcoming civil service exam that will be applied in April 3rd. I hope I can get a good position and a good result, but one thing is sure: there are 5260 candidates that will performe this exam. Also, Warframe introduced the new Nightwave chapter and again, my time with Blender projects will be shortened. Although my brother and I can reserve the night to perform some of the challenges to acquire the points and level up the tiers before going to bed, it will speed up some things in order to avoid exhausting me splinting my attention between two profiles and perform all those repetitive tasks.

For this Blog, I'm going to show you the new adjustments of the British Avro Lancaster Mk III and the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero.

Avro Lancaster B Mk III:

It's looking nice. I added the decals for a small test while I plan to record a new video after the exam. The lighting was also changed as I changed the Point type light to a Sun type light - adjusting the lighting strength to a desirable result, despite the underside of the plane remains darker.

The things that need to make remain the same: the guns for the turrets along the landing gears, the carriage doors, the bomb bay doors, the RAF markings, the aerial attachments, the Pitot tube, the antenna and other components - and its interior.

Mitsubishi A6M2 Model 21:

I changed the main color of the A6M Zero. As far I researched, some sources claim the initial Zero planes didn't had a white color, but something similar to a slight brown / khaki color shade, with some units built after 1943 being painted in dark green with some white / silver and yellow colors (the A6M3, A6M4 and A6M5 versions).

Along the colors, I extracted a small piece of the wing tip to make it a different component since this Japanese air fighter is a carrier-based plane - different from the American and British counterpart where its wings could retract to accommodate more planes inside the carriers' lower decks. The Japanese carriers were wider and a bit larger and could accommodate a considerable number of planes than the American and British carriers. Also, the cable to link the hook and the port and starboard lights were made.

After the first attempt of the wing tip, the Zero is now looking good.

Amazing. Don't you agree? Like the original A6M Zero stationed in some museums.

The next thing to do is: the flaps, the internal components like the pilot seat and panel, rigging the plane and a nice texture.

Well, that's it for now my friends. I hope you enjoy this Blog. In case I have some spare time to enjoy, I'll be working on other things aside from Blender projects and my personal things. Until the time comes, you will be surprised to see them. See you next time.
