New Updates for: FW 190 and Me 262 - December 19, 2020

Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another Blog during this quarantine phase while the World makes their best to find a (possible) cure for the COVID-19 pandemic. And nothing like a good Blog to entertain you.

December arrived and the year is close to the end. Before we move on to the next year, let's write another Blog of 2020 while we're hoping the things get better as the world continues to fight for survival and to develop a (possible) cure for this pandemic.

For this Blog, I'm going to bring new rendered images of my replicas of the Focke-Wulf FW 190 A-8 and the Messerschmitt Me 262 A-1a - along the A-1a/U-4 version as part of my 'just for fun'. I had plans to include my Claymore characters here in this Blog, but I don't have the renders to show you what I made so far - so, I guess it will be presented for the next Blog - if I'm not away for Christmas trip. (sigh) Yup, we're going to trip even with this pandemic. But I don't to go to the beach or to other places if the others want to.

Alright. Enough of that. Let me show you the renders.

Focke-Wulf FW 190 A-8:

For the FW 190, I made the fairings from its wings - duplicated in case I commit some mistakes. I know the lower part of the fuselage is still there, I'm not sure how I plan to do about that - like removing it or make it flat. Other components were the tail landing gear and the ailerons (although is not shown in these renders as they were made after).

I'm almost close to conclude it, with only the tail landing gear to complete, add the instrument panel, targeting sight and a texture for the wings, fuselage and elevator.

Messerschmitt Me 262 A-1a:

The Me 262's landing gears were attended while I was revisiting its project. As I made the first parts from those components, the gap between the wheels and landing gears were noticeable to the point of calling 'aircraft floating over its wheels'. (lol)

Now for the fairings. I don't know when I'm going to do that, but for idea I'm going to preserve the main objects for the fuselage and wings while using duplicates to cut pieces from the mesh to make the fairings.

Similar to the FW 190, the only remaining components left for the Me 262 are the ailerons, the instrument panel, targeting sight and a texture for the wings, fuselage and elevator.

To conclude this Blog, I'm going to show you the Messerschmitt Me 262 A-1a/U-4. In case you don't know what it is, the A-1a/U-4 was one of the versions for the Me 262 'Schwalbe'. Unlike the A-1a (fighter version), the A-1a/U-4 was armed with a powerful 50 mm MK 214 developed by Mauser or a 50 mm Rheinmetall Bordkanone BK-5 - installed on its nose to take down Allied bombers and armored vehicles. However, two prototypes were built and no mass-production order was given as the war has reached to a critical point for Germany with the factories and refineries being bombarded day and night and the Me 262 production was too low due to that event.

Messerschmitt Me 262 A-1a/U-4:

The project is still the same, with only the nose being elongated for the 50 mm cannon from a small duplicated from the main fuselage. Some times I think the Me 262's nose is more like a beluga than a shark as it is for its 'cousin'. I don't know I plan to keep it or to use the main fuselage - only extruding the parts for the cannon housing.

I don't know if the Me 262 A-1a/U-4 will be included for my aircraft mini-game inspired in War Thunder (it appears in the game as non-Premium Aircraft - Rank V) and IL-2 Sturmovik due to its cannon, because, despite it can tear an aircraft apart with one shot, the downside is missing its target and being overtaken by enemy fighters. Yet, it is an aircraft with a curious characteristic and fun to make.

Well, that's it for now my friends. I hope you enjoy this Blog. In case I have some spare time to enjoy, I'll be working on other things aside from Blender projects and my personal things. Until the time comes, you will be surprised to see them. See you next time.
