New year, Panzer I (new project) and Instagram
Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another blog here after my trip to celebrate the New Year. And nothing like resuming some of my projects on Blender to mark our return in 2020.
For this Blog, I'm going to show a new project I started recently - focused on WW2 vehicles. The vehicle of choice is the German Panzerkampfwagen I, aka Panzer I and one of its variants is the A model (or Ausf. A in German).
Looking nice, huh? I had idea of making a timelapse video series, but it would take me some time - specially with details and complex components. Also, I made a considerable number of components for the Panzer I, which I may not make a timelapse video of its development.
To make the first wheel was tricky. I used different objects to avoid messing up with the main one - like making the teeth and bolts separately from the wheel, and attaching it with "Child Of" constrain. Then I linked the other wheels by using the "Copy Rotation" constrain.
Some of the components are easy to make without using Subdivision Surface and Mirror, although the wheels, the alloy plate on the forward side of the tank, the outlet components and the turret required these modifiers.
And now the last wheel of the Panzer I.
It's looking good so far. In the future, I'll make the tracks for the vehicle, adjustments on the turret and outlet system, the lower and forward section of the vehicle.
One more thing: I recently created an account on Instagram for uploading some of my works. Though there will be limitations to upload rendered images from my Blender projects. One for example: my firearms section. Yet, I may use it to upload short movies and some animation tests since I can't use DeviantArt for that purpose (except for GIF images) - one reason is I don't have the Core Membership or other benefits like Senior or Beta Tester. I used to have Core Membership for a long time until expires.
That's it for today. I hope you enjoy it. I'll be back with more Blogs in this year. I plan to share more artworks and other things I did in my time. Until the time comes, you will be surprised to see it. See you next time.
