New updates for: Panzer I - January 11, 2020
Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another Blog while we are discovering new things in 2020. And nothing like a good Blog to entertain you.
For this Blog, I'm going to show the new renders for the Panzer I Ausf. A. Remember: the term Ausf - or Ausführung means model / variant in German. Every vehicle built in that time has different variants and configurations for armor planting, weaponry, engine and important components to face every situation in the battlefield. It is similar to the British designation with the word Mark (for example: Spitfire Mk IX, Hawker Hurricane Mk V), the Japanese (Mitsubishi A6M, A5M) and the American with M#A# (for example: M4A3 Sherman, M2A2 Light Tank).
With nothing else to add on, let's go back to the Panzer I.
I added more wheels to the Panzer I - located on top of the lower wheels. As I like details, I used different objects to make the upper wheels: two cylinders - one for the wheel and the other to attach it; and a plane - modeled into a screw. Beyond that, I made a slight modification on the outlet component and the cover plate - from where the driver is located - watching as he drives the tank.
Now for the next renders. This one are for the tracks.
After I uploaded some of the renders into a Blender group on Facebook, I received few commentaries - suggesting me to watch some tutorials in how to make tank tracks on YouTube. Thanks to them, I managed to make one piece of the tracks and added Array and Curve modifications to it - attached to a Bezier Circle to make the rest. So far it's looking good, though I need to remake the track piece to be looking identical to the original component from the Panzer I. Also, the front wheels in the render requires some resize for being too big and the tracks' teeth are passing through it.
In the future, I'll make more adjustments on the Panzer I, especially on the turret, tracks, lights, the lower and forward section of the vehicle.
That's it for today. I hope you enjoy it. I'll be back with more Blogs in this year. I plan to share more artworks and other things I did in my time. Until the time comes, you will be surprised to see it. See you next time.
