A break with X and new updates for: Ju 88 and Ju 87 Stuka - June 4th, 2024
Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another Blog in 2026.
I know. I've been absent without writing anything new here. As most of you are aware, Julie (our family's dog) passed away on February 18. And, during those days I fell into depression. Some things related to my personal life haven't been going well and sometimes it has affected my work a little - making me think about finding something else to do in life and giving up my current position.
But now I'm doing alright. Probably in this week I'll resume my studies for upcoming civil service exams. There are some that are promising in case I plan to move on for another job - even if I'm going to gain more or less from what I'm used to.
I may resume to send my professional resume for any job applications in case the public notice of competition take time to be released.
Before starting this blog with new rendered images, I have an announcement for you.
Recently my X (formerly known as Twitter) account was locked three times due to suspected activity that violated the Terms of Service. I had to follow the steps to unlock it and needed to be careful with the number of likes so as not to give any indication that it was being interpreted as automated account activity (something that is evident nowadays on X, Bluesky, Sketchfab or any other platform, because of bots). My brother's account got suspended, possibly on a same situation like I did a while ago.
Because of that, I decided to deactivate my X account for a long time. Personally I wouldn't mind that I'm going to miss some content there, like artworks, game dev images and others. I think I'll stick with Bluesky, since it's an alternative platform to X and a number of users have left for various reasons. That includes the time X was blocked in Brazil on September 2024 and now the Brazilian Digital Statute of the Child and Adolescent (Digital ECA) that demands your ID to visualize any post branded as NSFW.
Enough of that. Let's talk about I'm going to share you the images of the Junkers Ju 88A-4 and the Junkers Ju 87B-2 Stuka. I know that I should focus more on my studies for any upcoming civil service exam. Don't worry. Some small rests always help to relax.
Junkers Ju 88A-4:
The Junkers Ju 88 received the framing for the MG 15 machine guns to protect the bomber's aft section. It was quite painful to make, but it paid off. In addition, I imported the engine exhaustion outlets from the Stuka and made some adjustments on the landing gear, engine nacelles, fuselage and gondola. The wheels were remade in order to reduce the excesses of subdivisions from that modifier.
Next components are the ailerons, the tail undercarriage, the engine fairing doors, a nice texture and rigging this German medium bomber. After the bomber variant, I'll conclude the heavy fighter variant: the Ju 88C-4.
Junkers Ju 87B-2 Stuka:
I decided to revisit the Stuka in order to conclude its other textures like the Bump, Metal, Specular and Weathering. Minor changes were made on the aircraft. So far, so good.
Well, that's it for now my friends. I hope you like this Blog. Let us hope this year bring us new content and something different from the usual. In case I have some spare time to enjoy, I'll be working on other things aside from Blender projects and my personal things. Until the time comes, you will be surprised to see them. See you next time.
