2024 Retrospective, FAB, Tupolev Tu-4 (new project) and Happy Holidays - December 29, 2024
Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another Blog in 2024. We are now on December 29.
The year is close to the end. Before we move on to the next year, let's write another Blog of 2024. This year has been a nice one. I finally got the chance to be called by the civil service exams for the community health agent and the job contract for the receptionist has been terminated after presenting my papers and documents. My first day was on July 1st this year. I was so happy for the news.
Another new development was the opening of the first family health center in the city where I live, starting the first medical services focused on family health. Let's hope for more good things to come for 2025. After that civil service exam I performed, I think I'm going to give a small break, unless there are other exams to perform.
Enough of that. Let's go to the important thing in this Blog. I will share you some images of the projects I've been working and some that I concluded in this year before we can move on to 2025.
We'll go for the models started in 2024.
The Cruiser Mk VI, also known by its General Staff number A15 or simply by Crusader. The first British tank I started in this year. Some components were made from the T-34 while some others were made from scratch.
The Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat. One of the famous American naval fighters from WW2. It looks good, although I've been working on the model at some moments. I plan to bring new images of the aircraft for the next Blogs.
The KV-1. The Soviet's main heavy tank during the first days of WW2 and the Winter War. Some of the components were imported from the Panzer III, although most of them were made from scratch. I didn't added the Subdivision Surface for the turret - just to reduce the extra vertices.
The American M3A1 Stuart. It looks a bit simple and easier to make, despite I rely on references and War Thunder - especially the forward wheels and the chassis. On the other hand, it looks good.
The Churchill tank. I also like that British tank. The chassis and some of the components didn't receive the Subdivision Surface as I saw some pictures of the tank. But it looks good, despite not having the tracks.
The Lavochkin La-7. After the La-5 and its variants, I decided to make the La-7 as my midterm project. The texture and the wings were adjusted for the new Soviet fighter. The next component to add is the landing gear fairings to protect the wheels.
And now, the complete models in 2024.

Also, you can visit my Sketchfab to visualize my models - finished or not. I uploaded my other WW2 tanks like the Crusader and the T-34; planes like the G.55 Centauro, the B-29 Superfortress, Tupolev Tu-4 and the Me 262 A-1a.
Speaking on the Tu-4, I'll leave the images of the Soviet copy of the B-29.
Since I've been working on the B-29, I decided to add the Soviet VVS roundels to the bomber in case I would recycle it. The minor differences between the American B-29 and the Soviet Tu-4 (except for the roundels) are the colors for the propeller spinners (red for the Tu-4 and silver for the B-29). Aside from that, it looks good.
In the meantime, the B-29 (and the Tu-4) received a minor adjustment on the flaps and landing gear doors. The new addition are the seats for the pilot, co-pilot, gunners and radio operator; the dashboard for the pilots and a stair to crawl to the cabin. After that, I'll conclude both heavy planes. I'm not sure I'll make the Chinese variant for the Tu-4: the KJ-1.
Another one I want to talk about in this Blog is the Epic Games FAB website that merged its stores with Unreal, Sketchfab, Quixel and then ArtStation (around 2025). I created a new profile to start selling my models. I am interested in earning some income from my 3D models, even if I have to receive it in US dollars. I have to learn how to start my own store on FAB and how to receive my income through which website (like PayPal, for example).
Well, that's it for this year, my friends. Good Holidays and Happy New Year. I hope the things start to get better for the next year or be less terrible than the last years. I hope everyone is alright and stay safe. I'll be back with a new Blog in January 2025. See you next time.
