New updates for: Bf 110C-7 - April 10, 2022
Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another blog in 2022. Now that I'm working and studying, my time for Blogs decreased to some occasions and some weekends. I'm not sure what the future holds after my work at the public health center ends in August of this year. But one thing is certain: Until they call me effectively, I need to dedicate a good part of my time to the next civil service exams.
For this Blog, I'm going to share you the new changes for my Messerschmitt BF 110 C-7.
Amazing. Don't you agree?
The Bf 110 received its wings, the engine housing (or nacelles as some might prefer), the Pitot tube and the elevator. I tried to make the wings from the original model of the Bf 109, but I noticed some things might not work. Instead, I had to make a new model with a small portion of it. So far it looks good.
The Bf 110 received its decals along the minor modifications on the tail rudders. Other components made were a small piece of glass on the wings for the landing light. One thing I noticed later was: that piece of glass was actually the supercharger intake for the Daimler Benz DB 601 B-1 engines and there is only one intake at the left side of the wing instead of one for each wing. That's because of the drawings I used that made me believe it is mirrored.
But I don't mind after all. Once the plane is finished, I'll apply the Mirror modifier and close it.
Now this is looking good. The Bf 110 received some minor adjustments on the tail elevator after I made the separation the flight controller from the main component. The supercharger intake has been adjusted to fit in the wing and I removed the Mirror modifier on it.
Also, I appended the ventral antenna (I thought it would be the main component for helping the pilot for bomb sight) from the Stuka project and started making the canopy framing. Now the upper antenna won't be floating anymore. Lol.
Now this is looking good. I selected the upper section of the plane to paint it with the RLM 02 Grau (Gray in German). But it would be for a time once I conclude this German heavy fighter.
The canopy received the glasses and I made some adjustments with the original components from the Bf 109 project I used to create a new file dedicated to the Bf 110, like the reflective sights, the panel and the stick. Also, the MG 15 has been appended from the Stuka to fit in the German aircraft. I could make a dual barrel MG 15 for the newer versions of the German Zerstörer aircraft.
The canopy hatch for the pilot looks amazing when I changed the origin point to the specific edges.
This is how the hatch would be open based in some photos and games that has the Bf 110.
Also, I made the authentic landing light on the left side of the wing and some 'tubes' underneath the fuselage. I have no idea of what it is, but is common in the C version of the Bf 110. The engine housings were also adjusted with an extruded section to make the air intakes.
As usual, the next components are: the aerial attachments, the circular antenna underneath the fuselage, the ailerons, the flaps, the landing gears located beneath the engine housing, rigging the plane, a nice texture and the cockpit components like the seat for the pilot and gunner. I may include the Zerstörergeschwader (the destroyer wing squadron) emblem on the plane's nose or a shark mouth decal.
Well, that's it for now my friends. I hope you enjoy this Blog. In case I have some spare time to enjoy, I'll be working on other things aside from Blender projects and my personal things. Until the time comes, you will be surprised to see them. See you next time.
