New updates for: Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress - April 23, 2020
Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another Blog during this quarantine phase while the World makes their best to find a (possible) cure for the COVID-19 pandemic. And nothing like a good Blog to entertain you.
For this Blog, I'll be showing new renders of the American B-17G Flying Fortress.
After the last Blog, I made the cabin from where the pilot and co-pilot are located in the aircraft. Along it, I included the top-turret and made small adjustments on the tail-turret, propellers and the glass from where the bomb operator and front gunner are located. So far, it's looking good.
And now for the renders with the decals. It gave me some trouble to adjust at a good position on the fuselage.
Okay, it's looking amazing with the American Roundels, but there are others aside from the main ones. When I can, I plan to make more decals for the B-17. Do I plan to make those aircraft nose arts - like from those painted on the real aircraft? Maybe, but I'm not sure I'll add those pin-ups.
Before I conclude this Blog I'll show you the recent renders for this heavy bomber.
I made the nose tower - located under the aircraft; a small turret and an antenna in front of the cabin. Along it, I made a small adjustment on the mesh for that component. Probably for the next corrections I'll pay a special attention on the nose, wings and elevator.
After the B-17, the next aircraft for the bombers collection is the B-29 Superfortress, Heinkel He 111, Heinkel He 177 Greif (Griffin), Junkers Ju 87 Stuka, Ju 88, Ju 188, Avro Lancaster, Arado Ar 234 Blitz (Lightning), Mitsubishi G4M 'Betty', Consolidated B-24 Liberator, North American B-25 Mitchell and others that fought in WW2.
Well, that's it for today. I hope you enjoy it. I'll be back with more Blogs in this year. I plan to share more artworks and other things I did in my time. Until the time comes, you will be surprised to see it. See you next time.
