My small project on Unity 3D of Claymore
Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another blog here. This time, is something different from my usual projects that I brought here by my previous Blogs and images.
For this blog, I'll show you what I'm talking about.
When I started my attempts of making Priscilla (Claymore - Priscilla (as Claymore)), I had plans of making a mini game of Claymore on Unity - based on my fanfic Claymore: The Chronicles. Probably I'll try to make another one based on the original story, but to make almost all characters is quite complicated when it comes to modeling, rigging and animating. Let me show you what I did for a time.
It's not bad for a starter in animation, but the suggested corrections I received from a friend of mine, Priscilla's arms and legs must be adjusted to be looking more natural and feminine. Also, her idle/waiting animation must be corrected and I must add the other animations for her.
Now to the project on Unity. I imported the previous FBX model on the project as I was following some tutorials of making a RPG game. The role is more like action-adventure game with few characteristics that resembles a RPG, like Zelda, Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Star Wars The Forces Unleashed, Berserk and some others.
I wrote almost all the scripts based on the tutorials, and some of them are working nicely. Well, not totally. One of the issues that is giving some 'headaches' for missing components. That one is about the attack animation I didn't made it. The other one is after I inserted the SimpleObjectDestructiveBehaviour into the cubes (aka Destructible Test Object) and I pressed a button and I messed up with the project - which it is no longer functioning correctly on the test mode. I guess there are two options. One: Adjust Priscilla's animation and hope I can fix the issues. Two: Rewrite all the scripts from the beginning. That will be for another time since I'm still busy with my studies.
During the time when the project were still a concept, I did some sketches for what exactly it would be looking like. As I said, the original concept is to make a mini action-adventure game where you can switch from one character to another (like from Noel to Priscilla, Sophia, Irene, Clare, Teresa and furthermore), perform some combat combos, upgrading the characters' skills with EXP gained from the defeated NPCs (in this case, the Yoma) and Bosses (the Awakened Beings), picking up quests like from some games and a talking system based on Star Wars KotOR I and II, The Old Republic or Mass Effect (I'm not sure if I plan to add the whole alignment system. I guess not).
I know that is a lot of stuff to show you and talk about it, but I hope you like it. I plan to show what I did on Unity on my second channel TonyAnima Projects. Keep in mind I won't use my gaming channel for this purpose after I made it clear about the main focus of these two channels. Initially, I used TonyTorius for uploading two small tests of my other attempt with programming a minigame - focused on RTS (real time strategy) style. This time I won't host any future videos of Unity and 3D projects there anymore - leaving TonyAnima Projects as my adequate choice for this matter.
Alright, that's it for today. I'll be back with new content and blogs. See you next time.
